Review on Villandry
Marylebone's Villandry restaurant is a charming and unusual experience in that it is accessed through an impressive bustling food emporium, a gourmet shop for serious food lovers selling the finest quality products sourced from specialist suppliers and artisans across the globe. The fruit & veg, charcuterie and cheese sections are particularly exciting, and the take-away counter takes orders for anything from snacks to three course meals. Fresh bread is baked daily and is some of the best in London.
The restaurant is situated within the food hall using the best quality food hall produce. The cooking is fresh, simple and seasonal and the modern continental/British menu changes twice a day. A three course meal will cost somewhere between 25 and 30 pounds (without wine).
The restaurant itself is an airy, modern bright and pleasant room with a concrete floor, glass walls, trendy lamps, big windows and simple wooden chairs and tables. The service is relaxed and friendly.
Breakfast is also served here and light meals and drinks are available all day in the bar.
