May Fair Kitchen has taken over the space occupied by the Quince Restaurant in the luxurious May Fair Hotel in the heart of one of the most prestigious areas of London, a short distance from Green Park and the chic shops of Bond Street and Knightsbridge. Designed by Rob Steul of Woods Bagot, the glamorous restaurant has sumptuous leather furnishings, antique mirrors and silk wall coverings. The light and airy interior with floor to ceiling windows has an open kitchen which adds a touch of theatre to the proceedings.
The kitchen is overseen by Head Chef Matthew Downes and he proposes a modern European menu using the finest quality produce from trusted suppliers. Meat comes from Alden's a family butcher with over 200 years experience, fish is supplied by the renowned James Knight of Mayfair and vegetables are delivered daily from Watts farm who have operations in Kent, Essex and Bedfordshire.
Typically you might choose grass fed, 28 day aged, single rib steak or from the sea Bideford wild caught turbot cooked on or off the bone, then it's just a matter of selecting your preferred sauce or butter and accompaniments.
