'The ultimate luxurious getaway destination' and one of England's finest stately homes, Stapleford Park can trace its roots back to the fourteenth century. This stunning architectural edifice stands at the heart of a 500-acre estate designed by Capability Brown and now functions as a gilt-edged hotel, spa, golf and country club.

Fine dining takes place in the Grinling Gibbons Restaurant, which is suitably adorned with original GG carvings, historical portraits and chandeliers. Dinner might commence with ceviche of red mullet and sea bass or a warm salad of quail, green beans and walnut dressing, before roast John Dory with smoked eel and vicysoisse sauce or loin of veal with roast sweetbreads and garlic purée. For dessert, try the Stapleford crème brûlée with chocolate ice cream.
