Review on The Angel Inn
A fine example of an old English coaching inn, Midhurst's Angel Hotel dates back to the sixteenth century but now offers travellers up-to-date comforts as well as traditional hospitality. The hotel's neo-classical fa็ade faces the town, while flower-filled courtyards and gardens overlook open meadows and the ruins of Cowdray Castle in the distance.
Food is now served in their new restaurant the Angel Pub where diners can enjoy some of the world's finest Argentinean steaks. The restaurant has a stunning brick fireplace with golden wooden walls to provide a relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy lunch or dinner. The art exhibition that runs throughout the year is all for sale.
If Argentinean steaks are not to your fancy then why not try Seafood Casserole, a selection of fine locally caught fresh seafood cooked in a rich Tomato & Herb jus flavoured with Fennel & Celery or Bentley Bangers their fabulous homemade Sausages made to a secret recipe with the finest ground Pork on a bed of bubble & squeak Mash. Desserts follow tradition with English Trifle, Walnut and Honey Tart and Bentley Brulee, or if you can't decide why not choose 'I can't make my mind up' Pudding which is a small portion of all three!
