A delightfully serene rural setting is one of the great selling points behind this white-painted mansion, yet it is also within easy reach of central Minton Keynes (just a five minute drive from the centre of town). Not surprisingly, the hotel is a great favourite with the business community, and is also a popular venue for weddings and other special events.
Fine dining takes place in the Seasons Restaurant, a swanky dining room that is efficiently run by a brigade of professional staff. The modern dinner menu might begin with carpaccio of Scottish beef with truffle dressing or pan-roasted king prawns with chorizo-scented tomato salsa, before an assiette of lamb with buttered spinach and wild mushroom jus or fillet of halibut with braised fennel, butternut squash purée and roasted ceps. For dessert, expect - perhaps - warm pear and almond tart or chocolate fondant with gingerbread ice cream and marinated oranges.
