Review on Saison
Located in an award winning building the Saison restaurant looks out over the world's oldest golf course, as well as the famous Musselburgh Racecourse. The venue has a modern décor with panoramic glass windows to take in the unique views.
The kitchen presents a seasonal menu based around keenly sourced regional ingredients featuring Continental and Indian dishes. Choose fresh mussels cooked with garlic, tomato and white wine or maybe the Chef's special bruschetta, prime chopped plum tomatoes and basil on toasted bread brushed with garlic before a main of linguine alla scoglio, linguine pasta with prawns, clams, mussels and calamari or a succulent lamb shank, served with creamy mash, organic carrots, and lamb jus with mint sauce. There is also a selection of well known Indian dishes such as chicken or lamb korma.
There is a well chosen wine list to complement the food and a cosy bar ideal for a relaxing coffee or pre-dinner aperitif.
