Review on Curry Lounge
'I'd been here before Gordon Ramsay came and it was good, but now it's sublime,' noted one Mobile Food Guide user - referring to Curry Lounge's appearance on TV's 'Kitchen Nightmares'. Fans are eager to rave about its 'amazing design' (think awesome lighting, cascading water features, a black porcelain floor and a centrepiece fibre-optic chandelier) and its original take on Indian cuisine.
The menu is a long way from standard curry house, although devotees of samosas, chicken tikka, lamb bhuna and prawn biryani are well served. Elsewhere, it pays to explore the special dishes, which wow customers with their fresh flavours and vibrant spicing. Lobster pepper fry is a 'juicy, awe inspiring dish', and there are votes for tandoori salmon and achari lamb fired up with pickling spices and green chillies. Vegetarians also do well here.
'Service was not bad pre-Ramsay, but boy you now see a slick running team,' observed on satisfied punter. A second branch is planned for London.
