Review on Gasthof Schwarzes Lamm
The well-hidden Gasthof Schwarzes Lamm in Rothenburg is good for heart and soul. The old half-timber house of the Friedle family is centrally located in the main village square. Franconian, basic seasonal cuisine with well-known classics and new creations amaze visitors to the area as much as the locals. The menu always offers something new and exciting such as the seasonal Granny Smith-Menu with leaf-spinach salad, pine nuts and balsamic dressing, baked spined loach filet on orange and basil couscous with caramelised apple and to top it all off, baked apple fritters in a tempura pastry with Espresso-brittle-ice-cream. Guests can experience a cosy atmosphere with an historic flair when staying at the Schwarzen Lamm, which is part of the GreeLine Hotel. A great deal of wood and tasteful décor in the original style of the building makes a lunch or dinner a really special event. In good weather you can sit underneath the Linden tree in the hotel beer garden and enjoy the culinary delights on offer from the kitchen, or enjoy a cold beer.
