The Zum Schiffchen restaurant welcomes its guests in an idyllic house dating from the Middle Ages, with a large open terrace, situated in a carefree area of the Rheine district in Rhens near Koblenz. Head chef, Berthold Zarezki conjures up delicacies inspired by regional German cuisine with hints of the Mediterranean for his guests. A speciality of the house is the traditional Rhens 'Kürfürstenpfannkuchen' (literally 'selection of pancakes') - different fillets in homemade pasta with fresh seasonal mushrooms and a choice of fresh salad. A real highlight in the Schiffchen restaurant is the Strandkorb dinner. The culinary delights on offer are rounded up by a select choice of wine from the local area. After a walk in the Rhens mountain vineyards, guests are able to enjoy a heavenly panoramic view over the Rheintal whilst selecting from the menu in the Schiffchen.
