Review on Castillo Hotel Son Vida, Es Castell
A beautiful Medieval castle that dates from the 13th century with stunning views over the Bay of Palma is the setting for Es Castell at the Hotel Son Vida. Inside, stone blends with precious wood and benefits from tangerine orange, mahogany red, and olive green accents. Rich linens and dark wood furnishings finish off the elegant room. An outdoor terrace affords guests the opportunity to dine while enjoying the island's idyllic climate.
Executive Chef Juan López Perez reworks classic French dishes with a delicate Mediterranean style. Duck liver terrine with PX and orange jam from Soller might appear as a starter followed by, perhaps, Suckling Pig filled with foie and truffle a la Royale or traditional tournedos Rossini with mushroom ragout and potatoes. The extensive wine list has over a hundred Spanish wines alone.
