Review on Brasserie Flo
Brasserie Flo located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris first opened its doors in 1860 and the décor has changed very little since this time. The restaurant is a little off the tourist beat, tucked under a porchway in a paved courtyard, but it is well worth the search. With theatrical flair the red velvet curtain in the brasserie doorway is drawn back to reveal the cosy dining room with its bench seats, glittering mirrors, ceiling lights and the gleaming copper polished bar.
Look for the kitchen's specialities of home-made foie gras with Riesling aspic or Norwegian smoked salmon served with blinis and fresh cream among the starters. Follow on with sole meunière with boiled potatoes or grilled Chateaubriand steak with Bearnaise sauce and French fries and finishing with pear crumble with coconut ice cream or vanilla profiteroles and hot chocolate sauce.
