Review on Le First, Restaurant Boudoir Paris
Le First Restaurant Boudoir Paris is a sumptuous restaurant situated in the The Westin Paris - Vendôme hotel in the first arrondissement of Paris. The interior of the baroque styled restaurant has been designed by Jacques Garcia and has a luxurious mix of purple velvet and silk textures with long cushioned banquettes, carpet printed with leaves, silver decorations and walls adorned with mirrors. The restaurant faces the Tuileries Gardens and there is an inviting outdoor terrace to dine al fresco when the weather is warm.
Chef Gilles Grasteau produces an authentic and inventive cuisine and ingredients are sourced within a 200 kilometres radius of Paris. Expect the likes of duck fois gras flavoured with sumac spices and raspberries or vegetable tempura, sucrine lettuce and creamed watercress for starters. Creative main courses could feature pork tenderloin stuffed with carrot, radish, snow peas, lemon grass and lobster broth or a classic grilled rib eye with mixed peppercorn butter and French fries. As a finale try kirsch flavoured clafoutis with raspberries, blackberries and redcurrants or rhubarb pistachio genoa cake with lemon and thyme sorbet. The globetrotting wine list features French and New World selections with some available by the glass.
