Review on R'Yves
The R'Yves restaurant is housed in the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center, situated in downtown Paris, conveniently located by the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain-des-Pres. The chic restaurant, bar and lounge is an all-day dining venue created by London designer McKenzie & Wheeler, inspired by the style of the 1970's, with leather seating and gold toned alcoves.
Heading the kitchen is Didier Pétin who has plied his trade in well-known restaurants such as La Fontaine Gaillon and Le Doyen in Paris, but also takes inspiration for his dishes from his travels in Asia and the Caribbean. Enjoy starters such as terrine of duck and foie gras perfumed with Espelette red pepper or Caesar salad with grilled chicken or king prawns. Main courses embrace braised lamb shanks with carrots, potatoes, cabbage and bearnaise sauce or pan-fried scallops served with mixed vegetables and chioggia beetroot crisps. To finish there are desserts such as cheese cake with a red fruit sauce or maybe Madagascar vanilla and caramelized millefeuille. After dinner you can relax in the lounge where you can chill out to the music while enjoying a drink.
