Review on La Petite Cour

La Petite Cour restaurant is a real Parisian charmer set in the 6th arrondissement just a few steps from the St Germain des Pres covered market. It has pale gold walls with deep ruby red chairs and the famous terrace below street level with its exotic flowers, gurgling fountain and cherub is a lovely, quiet and relaxing place to dine away from the busy street above.

Menus are available in English and you will find the service is efficient and professional. Head chef Hisaoka Kampei, produces modern French cuisine and makes admirable use of local seasonal produce. Along the innovative ideas on offer there might be octopus carpaccio, salad and champagne vinaigrette or roasted Razor clam, with mustard sauce. For mains choose succulent shoulder of milk-fed-lamp roasted on the bone or filet mignon of pork, spider crab and balsamic vinegar. While desserts take in the likes of caramelized custard cream or maybe risotto with vanilla- flavoured milk and toffee ice cream.
