Review on Le Speakeasy
Located in the chic 16th district of Paris, just steps from the Place de L'Etoile, Le Speakeasy is a popular restaurant and piano bar. With the atmosphere of the roaring twenties, reminiscent of Chicago's clandestine jazz bars, the venue is decked out in red velvet and comfy leather sofas. A pianist and singers provide Blues and Soul music each day, and a resident DJ hosts music every Friday and Saturday night until late.
The kitchen delivers a refined and authentic cuisine using the very best of fresh seasonal ingredients for its menu. For a starter choose the half lobster, celery remoulade, avocado tartare and vanilla vinaigrette before a main course of fillet of beef, sautéed mushrooms, truffle jus and mashed potatoes and to finish, lime and mango on Breton biscuit with saffron ice.
There is an excellent of wine to accompany the menu together with a well-crafted cocktail list.
