Review on Maison Prunier
Maison Prunier located in the prestigious Avenue Victor Hugo has been serving excellent seafood since the 1920's. It was created by the architect Boileau and it boasts a magnificent and unique Art Deco interior with onyx and black marble walls with flecks of glittering gold. Downstairs there is an informal dining area, an oyster bar and a fresh fish counter while upstairs is the more exclusive dining option.
Eric Coisel is in charge of the kitchens and still prepares many of the dishes created by the head chef of 1929 Michel Bouzy, together with the recipes from the founder Emile Prunier. There are several fixed price set menus and dishes such as king crab ravioli with tarragon or a classic grilled turbot with hollandaise sauce might feature. There are a choice of nine different oysters to choose from, together with clams and crab, smoked salmon, sea urchins and of course caviar. Service is impeccable and there is an impressive wine list in this exclusive restaurant.
