Review on Firmin Le Barbier
Firmin Le Barbier is a delightful Parisian bistro located on a very quiet street near the Eiffel Tower and offers a very warm welcome. The owner Francis Firmin switches effortlessly between French and English whilst taking your order and makes sure that all is well amongst his diners. A former surgeon he can now indulge in his love of wines which is emphasized by the beautiful selection of thirty bottles by the bottle or glass. The dining room is a simple elegant room where the stone walls contrast against the wood with crisp white linen laid tables.
Expect a blackboard menu featuring the dishes of the day and the kitchen works to produce traditional French dishes which change according to what's best in the market. The menu has a choice of four starters, four main courses and four desserts to choose from and a risotto could be one of the starters, with mains of Osso Bucco or Coquilles Saint Jacques. Desserts are along the lines of an assortment of crème brûlées, tarte of the day or ice cream.
