Review on La Ferme Saint-Simon
La Ferme Saint-Simon is a luxurious traditional restaurant, a short distance from the Musée d'Orsay and the Boulevard Saint Germain in Paris. Its a very popular destination for the politicians and civil servants working at the nearby National Assembly as well local Parisians and show business celebs. It has a cosy bistro setting with striped gold wallpaper, patterned carpet and well laid tables.
Ingredients are sourced with care from the local market and show up in dishes such as langoustine on a crab pâté, king prawns dipped in paprika and served with a saffron risotto or fillet of veal served with potatoes. To finish try the famous Poire Belle Hélène or roasted pineapple with honey and coconut sherbet. An extensive French wine list containing some heavyweight Bordeaux names completes the picture.
