Review on La Maison de l'Aubrac
La Maison de l'Aubrac is a steakhouse not far from the Champs-Elysées in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The emphasis is on Aubrac beef which all comes from the owners farm. There are two choices of dining rooms, the downstairs looks like an American wood clad eatery and has an informal, lively atmosphere, while upstairs there is a chic dining room.
Among the starters you might choose beef carpaccio with basil and shaved Laguiole cheese or a sharing platter of beef tapas before mains of beef trilogy, steak tartare, grilled lower rib, beef salad, Béarnaise sauce and sautéed potatoes or calf's liver from Corrèze, fried onions caramelized balsamic and arugula salad. While desserts take in filo pastry of apple and pear with honey or floating island with caramel. The wine list features a wide selection of bottles from the Languedoc region of France.
