Review on Le Chiberta
Le Chiberta located just metres from the Champs Elysees is a Michelin starred restaurant owned by the renowned French chef Guy Savoy. The sleek contemporary decor was designed by J M Wilmotte who also designed restaurant Guy Savoy. The restaurant features three dining areas, The Wine Cellar dining room with its black walls lined with wine bottles and the contrasting cream wall adorned with one lone bottle. The Lavier dining area, again with black walls with a large contemporary artwork featured on one wall and finally the Traqua dining room which has large red murals set around the room.
The inventive cuisine which was composed by Guy Savoy and Stéphane Laruelle features velouté of carrot, lemongrass-ginger roasted prawns with mild spices and a terrine of duck liver, pheasant and celery toast among the starters. Moving on to mains you could choose roasted monkfish "Grand-Mère" baby leeks, onions, potatoes and mushroom in a meat juice or perhaps fillet of Black Angus, sauéeed duck foie gras, wild mushroom and spinach ratte potatoes. As a finale, indulge in grapefruit terrine and earl grey tea sauce or Chocolate banana cube with black chocolate sauce.
