Review on The Parlour, Fortnum & Mason
The Parlour on the first floor of Fortnum & Mason, one of London's oldest department stores is a fun and funky place to indulge your sweet tooth, whether you are young or old. Designed by David Collins Studio in the style of a 1950's ice cream parlour, it is delightful with its décor of candy pink and white stripes.
Offering a retro menu with a very modern mouth-watering twist, treats include exclusive ice creams and sorbets and if you can't decide what flavour choose the flights, three cones filled with three ice creams, or maybe the classic Knickerboker Glory which was one of the first places in the UK to serve this delicious confection in 1955. There are also authentic Viennese cakes and strudels, exceptional hot chocolate from one of the worlds greatest chocolatiers and coffee comes with a mini cornet of ice cream on the side. For those who prefer something savoury there is a selection of open sandwiches.
