Toast! kitchen & wine bar offers contemporary American cuisine and an eclectic wine list with a very modest price tag. Toast! was recognized as Pittsburgh Magazine's Best New Restaurant of 2009, while Chef/Owner Chet Garland was named Rising Star Chef. Working with local purveyors-including a small, local farm that raises produce exclusively for the restaurant-ensures that everything is as fresh and seasonal as possible on the daily changing menu.
Seating areas include a cozy bar downstairs with banquette seating and three intimate rooms offering white linen fireside dining. The wine list, with about 180 bottle selections and 50 wines by the glass (at least six are bubbly), won Wine Spectator awards in 2009 and 2010; informed-yet friendly-advice on pairing is always at hand.
