Waldhotel Fletschhorn is set in a forest about a 25 minutes walk from the centre of Saas Fee village, with breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. The Fletschhorn is an award winning restaurant, the recipient of a Michelin star and has been awarded 18 points in the prestigious Gault Millau restaurant guide.
Heading the kitchen is Markus Neff who produces versatile and creative cuisine with contemporary dishes such as hand dived Atlantic scallops, pan-roasted on parsnip mousseline, citronella sauce or for simple indulgence choose tortelloni with tender poultry stuffing, black perigord truffles. Inventive mains follow with tender saddle of reindeer wrapped in fine rösti or a classic alpine lamb from Brigerberg with rye bread-crust, leek and potato cassoulet. Outstanding desserts, beautifully presented brings the show to a close with a subtle timbale of macadamia nut and lime zests or a semi-frozen of mellow valaisan pear eau de vie and tender lemon cake.
There is a magnificent wine cellar featuring 20,000 bottles from the very best wine-producers of Wallis, as well as international vintages.
