Review on O'Keeffe Cafe
Having been featured nationally on Rachel Ray, O'Keeffe Cafe is renowned for its Creative and Eclectic American Cuisine. Chef Leo Varos a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico fell in love with the French regions of Perigord, Provence, and the Basque Country. His cuisine is profoundly influenced by these regions. The Cafe is housed in a Territorial dating back to the mid-19th Century and was used during the Civil War as a billet for Federal officers.
Adjacent to the world-famous Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, two dining rooms filled with red roses provide an intimate dining setting. In the warm summer months, dining is available on the patio beneath a 150-year-old box elder. The dining rooms are decorated with photos of Georgia O'Keeffe's life in northern New Mexico. The Cafe is unsurpassed in Santa Fe as a wine venue; with 180 wines by the bottle the Cafe has won Awards of Excellence from Wine Spectator in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010.
