Located in Seattle's historic Ballard neighborhood, Bastille Cafe & Bar offers classic French bistro fare set within a fantastic, extensive building renovation incorporating found objects from France and an array of reclaimed and recycled materials from the Pacific Northwest. Features include a working roof top garden that provides lettuces and herbs to the kitchen, a take-out window offering such delights as falafel and frites, an assortment of daily Parisian sandwiches and late night dining and cocktails in Bastille's Back Bar. Noted chef Shannon Galusha creates a broad menu of French dishes including: Red Wine-Braised Short Ribs with Pot au Feu Vegetables, Steak Sandwich, and a Grilled Lamb Burger. Desserts will include Chef Galusha's beloved Peanut Butter Ice Cream and House-Made Profiteroles and using the lavender from the roof garden, a Lavender Creme Brulee with Pistachio Biscotti.
