Review on Soho Kitchen & Bar

Following on from their success with Electric Diner in Notting Hill, the well-established Soho House restaurant group have opened a sibling called The Soho Kitchen & Bar on the site of their Boheme Kitchen and Bar on Old Compton Street, a short walk from Shaftesbury Avenue. Inspired by the American diner, the restaurant features booth and counter top dining around the central bar, with pressed tin ceiling panels and black and white chequerboard flooring.

The restaurant is a collaboration between Nick Jones, Chief Executive of Soho House and Brendan Sodikoff who owns Chicago restaurant Au Cheval, the inspiration for both Diners. Expect a blend of Franco-American dishes in the shape of Philly cheese steak sandwich, grilled salmon, tomato vierge and desserts such as waffles and brownies.

Soho Kitchen & Bar is open all day until the early hours serving American wines on draft including Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Anchor Steam, a concise wine list of mostly Californian and French wines, together with tasty cocktails on tap.
