Zauggs Zunftstube in Solothurn has received many awards for its gourmet cuisine including a Michelin Star from the prestigious Michelin Guide, recognition in the Guide Bleu and Gault Millau, as well as numerous plaudits from renowned food critics.
The restaurant in a Guild Room is located on the first floor, above the Stadtbeiz, their informal restaurant serving bistro cuisine. Chef Andreas Zaugg sends out highly impassioned modern dishes, defined by great ingredients, impressive skill and direct flavours. The menu changes daily and as there are just five tables in the restaurant they are highly sought after. There is an impressive wine list in their several hundred years old cellar that focuses on Swiss winemakers, but international wines are represented as well.
