Review on Sa Punta
In an enviable location right on the sea front with a 300 square metre terrace, Sa Punta is off the road from Cala Bona to Costa del Pins and nestles between two hotel complexes, the Sunwing and Port Roig. It's famous for its Mediterranean cuisine, a daily changing gourmet menu and well established signature dishes.
Fresh local fish tops the bill although you may kick off with a mixed vegetable grill with mozzarella, Mallorcan cold meat and cheese board or a selection of soups, salads and pastas. Follow on with, perhaps, salt-baked fish for 2 people, fresh Sóller prawns, fresh lobster, roast duck with Mallorcan orange sauce or rack of lamb with rosemary. Imaginative desserts include Bailey's parfait with crystal pastry and coffee crème or figs with merlot, cheese foam and light mango crème.
The wine list is a whopper running to almost 200 bins. The Mallorcan selection is one of the most comprehensive on the island.
