Review on Weston Hall, The Cellar
Built around 1550 as a dower house, Weston Hall has served many different purposes over the centuries, from an army barracks to student accommodation, but since its transformation into a hotel and restaurant in 1996, its former charm has been lovingly restored. The traditional character of days of yore has been retained, and today the Hall still exudes an air of sumptuous elegance, lending itself perfectly to special occasions, from romance to corporate celebrations.
Their new restaurant, The Cellar has undergone a refurbishment in order to offer a more casual dining experience. Along with the décor the restaurant will offer an informal, relaxed atmosphere with the kitchen specialising in delicious steaks and traditional food. The Cellar Bar and lounge is also available for snacks, sandwiches and afternoon tea, as well as drinks and pre-dinner cocktails in the evening.
If you stay overnight, be prepared - the Hall is rumoured to be haunted by the mysterious 'Grey Lady'.
