Review on Zum Ackerbürger
On Spreuergasse in the centre of Bad Cannstatt lies Stuttgart's second oldest building, home to a Swabian restaurant Zum Ackerbürger, which takes its name from the building. With its cosy feel, historic "Stube" and large selection of local as well as international dishes, the restaurant proves to be very popular. Specialities of the house include a traditional onion roast, homemade Maultasche (a Swabian ravioli) and hand-scraped cheese spaetzle – and all the food, of course is freshly prepared and gluten-free. Depending on the time of the year, the Ackerbürger also serves fresh game and fish as well as a variety of fondues. Its proximity to Wilhelma and Rosensteinpark makes this family-friendly restaurant a popular venue for the people of Stuttgart and anyone who enjoys Swabian cuisine.
