Review on Rasoi Pontlliw
Rasoi is a modern Indian restaurant located in the Welsh rural village of Pontlliw which is the Welsh word for bridge. The interior is elegant with intimate booths, tasteful middle eastern objects d'art and candles in sconces creating a sophisticated ambience. There is a welcoming bar area where you can relax and enjoy a pre-dinner drink and a luxurious private dining area for parties.
The bustling open show kitchen is where the chefs prepare their vibrant blend of traditional Indian dishes with a modern flair, using authentic spices and carefully chosen ingredients. Dishes are well presented and shows a real dedication to freshly prepared food. Kick off with a starter of galuti kebab, pan seared Welsh lamb cake, wargi paratha and mint yoghurt followed by a main course of harayle machi, pan fried haddock with chermula, pinenut rice and curried coconut. To finish choose warm carrot fudge cake with raisins and green cardamom or shirikhand cheesecake, mix fruit berries with tamarind glaze.
