Review on The Rose & Crown
The Rose & Crown is a sympathetically refurbished the property which is now packed full of character and exudes a warm and friendly ambience. Situated on the main road, it still enjoys views across the meadows and over the river Teme and is close to the borders of Shropshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire, all packed with beautiful countryside offering wonderful walks and activities.
To begin, you might find a sausage of chicken and smoked chicken mousse with creamed parsnips and Madeira sauce alongside seared scallops with pea purée and sweet potato salad. Local fillet steak and chips with interesting trimmings is a star among the main courses, although you might also be tempted by grilled sea bass on crayfish risotto or honey-glazed duck breast with blackberry and sloe gin sauce. To round things off, the kitchen sends out straightforward desserts such as chocolate pot, lemon tart or ginger pannacotta with rhubarb jelly.
