Review on The Mews Surf Bar & Grill
The Mews Surf Bar & Grill in the seaside town of Tenby has reopened after a stylish refurbishment under the ownership of local chef David Douglas-Law and his wife Steph. Taking centre stage in the restaurant is an authentic parilla charcoal grill where much of the food is cooked.
The kitchen makes good use of the abundance of quality ingredients on its doorstep for its dishes, with fish supplied from the local fishermen on a daily basis. They can even order your favourite fish 24 hours in advance and the chef will cook it to your culinary requirement. Vegetarians are catered for and children are made welcome and have their own menu. For the more adventurous among you there is a smorgasbord of exotic meats which could include bison, springbok, kangaroo and crocodile tail. Steaks are also a popular choice and are cooked to perfection on the grill and to finish there are lovely homemade desserts including a delicious limoncello ice cream.
There is a house selection of wines as well as bottled and draft beers for your enjoyment. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed and the restaurant is a very popular dining destination in the local area.
