Review on The Poacher & Partridge
Situated in the pretty village of Tudeley, just off the A26 and a few miles south of Tonbridge, the bustling Poacher & Partridge is currently reaping the benefits of a major refurbishment and change of image. It now proudly sports the latest in contemporary, cosmopolitan design, complete with a highly desirable fine-weather patio and a renewed emphasis on top-quality food and wine.
Expect a wide-ranging menu that roams around for seared king scallops, celeriac puree and bacon relish and Fregola risotto, feta cheese, spinach and lemon, dishes that can be served as a starter or main course. Steaks, burgers pizzas and salads fill out the repertoire with sandwiches available until 3.00pm. Finish off with something sweet like sticky toffee pudding, caramel sauce and pistachio cream or dark chocolate brownie paired with salted caramel ice cream.
To accompany the food there's a well considered wine list with many options available by the bottle, glass and carafe, alongside a good selection of ales.
