The Benacus is a well regarded bar restaurant situated in the historic centre of Unterseen. With a stylish décor this charming old building has a fresh and modern interior with lots of wood, natural stone and ambient lighting. The bar is the soul of the restaurant, where people meet for an aperitif, a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.

Heading the kitchen is chef René Schudel who has his own cooking show called 'Funky Kitchen Club' on one of the Swiss German television channels. The restaurant features an open kitchen behind the bar area, where you can watch the chefs in action. His menu is based around keenly sourced regional ingredients and could feature foamed coconut soup with sauteed US scallops, followed by scewered lamb, Tuscan bread, and salad served with butter and sage. However a popular choice is René's 'WE LOVE' menu, a sharing platter for two of traditional tapas, followed by seven surprise courses. There is an excellent wine cellar filled with fine wines from around the globe and competent staff ensure a relaxing and pleasurable dining experience.
