Review on Al Giardinetto da Severino
The Al Giardinetto da Severino has been run by the Bastianello Parmesan family for over seventy years in the Castello district, just a few minutes from St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. Situated in the 15th century Palazzo Zorzi the dining room was once used as a private chapel and still retains the vaulted ceiling and frescoed fireplace. During the summer months there is a lovely garden courtyard, where you can dine al fresco in the shade of the overhanging grape vines.
Serving traditional Venetian dishes, with seafood specialities sourced daily from the nearby Rialto Market, accompanied by an excellent Italian wine list. A popular venue with local artists as the restaurant host the Amici Ruga Giuffa, the National Painting Prize in October.
