Cantina Canaletto located just a few steps away from the famous Piazza San Marco, down a quiet side street, is divided into a restaurant and wine bar. The traditional styled dining room has beamed ceilings and walls lined with an impressive display of wine bottles. Ingredients are sourced with care and the kitchen serves traditional recipes such as white polenta with lagoon shrimps, seafood risotto, lasagna canaletto as well as a selection of pizzas. To finish there are classic desserts such as tiramisu and panna cotta. There is a monumental wine list of over 1000 references, all of which are available by the glass. If you are just popping in for a glass of wine and a snack, Canaletto does an excellent range of cheeses and cold meats supplied from small independent producers.
