Il Refolo is an upscale pizzeria situated on a tiny canal in the middle of a quiet residential area, just off the main square in the Santa Croce area of Venice. This gem of a neighbourhood restaurant is owned by the son of Damiano and Mara Martin who run the Michelin starred Osteria da Fiore.

Although the restaurant serves a variety of excellent pizzas, there is also a good selection of meat and fish dishes. Il Refolo offers a good wine list featuring a collection that offers something for everyone in terms of both taste and budget. With candlelit tables lining the canal side where you can watch the gondolas and locals on their boats it is a very charming place, off the beaten track.
