The Il Ridotto Restaurant is in the Sestiere di Castello, a short stroll from Saint Mark's Square, in the heart of Venice, near the vaporetto stop of San Zaccaria. The restaurant has a stylish décor with exposed brick walls, and an intimate ambience with just five tables laid with cream linen, flowers and pretty Murano glassware.
Chef and proprietor is Gianni Bonaccorsi who also owns the successful adjacent Aciugheta pizzeria and wine bar. The menu is devised on a daily basis from carefully sourced local ingredients producing imaginative Venetian dishes with an innovative interpretation. A carefully crafted wine list of national and international wines complements the menu, with a collection dating back to the nineteen-fifties.
