Review on Osteria Enotca Giorgione
Osteria Giorgione is a charming historic inn dating back to 1885 in a quiet location, just 10 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. The interior is moodily lit and full of character, with pictures dating between the late 19th and early 20th century from the private collection of Luciano Pasotto, lining the walls and niches.
The classic Venetian dishes are based mainly on fish such as scampi and pilchards in saor, together with the restaurant's speciality rice alla rivierasca prepared with vegetables and scampi or cuttlefish in a black sauce. The kitchen also has a selection of meat or vegetable dishes, while desserts take in hot chocolate flan with ice cream or maybe Amaretto semifreddo.
