Ignore the rather curious setting in Warwick's shopping precinct and focus on the food in this smartly appointed Indian. Inside, there are appropriate yellow colour schemes, wicker chairs, walls hung with ethnic prints, and a sitar or two.
The kitchen specialises in South Indian food – especially from Goa – although it doesn't neglect curry house favourites such as dhansaks and dupiazas ('hot is 40p extra', says a note on the menu – so you know they mean business!).
Among the regional specialities, look for gost kata nizami roll (minced lamb and onions deep-fried in a spicy poppadom roll), karkra stuff (crabmeat with 'ground baked potato'), mussels condunpuri and Xacutti murgh (a fiery Goan chicken dish flavoured with coconut).
