Review on Cinnamon Club
New Indian cuisine at the Old Westminster Library through passion, pride and energy, The Cinnamon Club has gained a unique position in the London social and dining environment. From the grand and special building, through to the innovative dishes, meticulously selected wines, precisely crafted cocktails, welcoming smiles and the seamless service standards, they have created an atmosphere of relaxed elegance that is what they call The Cinnamon Club Experience.
Vivek Singh heads the restaurant's kitchens. Vivek joined the Cinnamon Club from India's most exclusive hotel, the Rajvilas in Jaipur, where he was head chef. An army of Indian chefs has been recruited to reflect the breadth and depth of Indian cuisine. Trained and experienced hands in the culinary traditions of north, south, east and west of India are all represented. The Cinnamon Club takes the essence of Indian cuisine at its finest levels and interprets it in terms of the western environment in which it is served. Attention has been given to the presentation of dishes so they look as stunning as they taste.
All seafood is market fresh and varies according to availability. Game and offal also appear on the Cinnamon Club menu. Spices have been sourced in India and are air -freighted fortnightly, along with vegetables and other fresh ingredients found in the markets on the day of consignment.
A carefully selected wine list has been created to go with dishes and the bar makes a special feature of its dazzling cocktails, which use many Indian fruits and spices. A unique selection of lassi cocktails has been created for the downstairs bar of the old library.
