Grand Prix motor racing legend Nigel Mansell OBE is the auspicious owner of Woodbury Park Hotel – an impressive country mansion set in 500 acres of Devon countryside complete with conference facilities, a championship golf course and the World of Racing Museum.
Visitors looking for fine dining should head for the elegant, glass-roofed Atrium Restaurant. The kitchen makes good use of British produce for a colourful menu with Mediterranean overtones. Carpaccio of Woodbury beef with Parmesan and horseradish cream is a decent way to start, and you could follow on with pan-fried sea bass with crayfish and rocket salad or chicken breast stuffed with spinach served on mash with pesto. To finish, consider summer berry and Muscat jelly or strawberry and raspberry Pavlova.
Light snacks, teas and coffee are served in the Conservatory overlooking the golf course and the Exe Valley.
