Review on The Restaurant at The Dolder Grand
The Restaurant at The Dolder Grand in Zurich is rather special, it has received two Michelin stars and has also been awarded 17 points in the prestigious Gault Millau restaurant guide. This landmark historic hotel towers above Zurich, originally built in 1899 it has now been reinvented to a form a luxurious city resort.
The talented young chef heading the kitchen is Heiko Nieder who has produced an innovative gourmet cuisine for this very elegant restaurant. At lunchtime they offer a quick business lunch as well as an Amuse Bouche menu, containing a cross-section of available dishes. In the evening The Restaurant offers four course to seven course dinners as well as a special vegetarian menu. In summer you can dine al fresco on their terrace with breathtaking views of the lake and city, and on clear days the Alps.
