Review on Restaurant Greulich
Hotel restaurant Greulich is located in the centre of the premises, a small boutique hotel designed by Franz Romero and a member of Design Hotels. The restaurant has a minimalist décor with a warm elegance and offers a fresh seasonal cuisine with Mediterranean influences, and the principles of the Slow Food movement are the basis of the surprising and appealing dishes.
Heading the kitchen is Marco Hartmann who sources his ingredients from regional producers and suppliers, whom he knows personally for his menu, that includes a range of vegetarian dishes of exquisite and original taste. There is a concise business lunch with a choice of three starters and four main courses, or a good value seasonal menu that changes daily, consisting of starter, main course and dessert. For dinner typically you might choose a summer vegetable salad with goats cheese and herbs, before a main course of a duo of Swiss saddle of lamb, chorizo jus, grilled potatoes and beans, finishing with apricot delice paired with chocolate and hazelnut.
There is a very fine wine list of over 200 bins from major wine producers from Europe as well as some modern youngbloods. In the summer there is a courtyard where you can enjoy seasonal delicacies under the umbrellas, while listening to the soft soothing sound of running water from the fountain.
