The boutique Hotel Ambassador is home to the Restaurant l'Opéra, situated next door to the famous Zürich Opera house in the exclusive district of Seefeld, just a short stroll from the glamour of the world renowned Bahnhofstrasse. This elegant romantic restaurant was designed by Tatjana Tiziana, who has transformed the interior into a surrealistic-baroque work of art, with motifs depicting various opera scenes.

Restaurant l'Opéra specialises in fish which is sourced from sustainable fisheries and they have won WWF awards for their organic produce. There is a separate fish menu or you might decide to choose your own fish from the counter, together with an a la carte menu with meat choices, such as roasted rack of lamb with thyme jus, home made wild garlic linguini and white Donau asparagus. Finish with a delicious homemade dessert of strawberry roulade with sweet and sour rhubarb compote or savarin with rum and a ricotta mousse filling.

The wine list is an impressive slate mostly from nearby vineyards, as well as other European counties, featuring some top end treasures, but there are also offerings by the glass.
