The date AD 1893 is carved in stone over the door of this personally run Lakeland country hotel. Originally built as a private residence, it nestles in extensive grounds overlooking Morecambe Bay.
Owners Michael and Christine Fallowfield put great store by personal hospitality and are proud of the food served in their air-conditioned restaurant (which also boasts great views). Menus showcase the best of local produce, especially lamb, beef and venison, all backed up by a cellar of fine wines for every occasion.
