The AA Rosette award winning restaurant offers classic British cuisine with some influences from further afield, all within a relaxing ambience. The wide-ranging seasonal menu might include starters of grilled tiger prawn kebabs with soy, ginger and lemongrass or perhaps winter salad of grilled asparagus, char-roasted peppers and pancetta with a grain mustard dressing. Follow this perhaps with breast of new season's pheasant wrapped in bacon, stuffed with plum and ginger or the succulent loin fillet of Welsh lamb, parsnip rosti with port and rosemary gravy. The desserts are equally mouth watering and the wine list has been carefully designed.

Popular for Sunday lunches which are very reasonably priced at £20.00 (£11.00 for children under 10) and the restaurant occasionally hosts jazz evenings.
