Situated in five acres of grounds close to Sandilands beach, this pleasing family-run hotel boasts all manner of facilities from an 18-hole links golf course, gymnasium and two full-sized snooker tables to an attractive lounge and a lavish ballroom for private functions.
Formal meals are served in the tranquil Garden Restaurant overlooking the hotel's beautiful lawns and flower beds. International influences and ideas loom large on the menu, which generally makes room for Grimsby fish and locally reared Lincolnshire Red beef. Start with char-grilled calf's liver on creamy mash with sage jus or Bramley apple and leek soup, ahead of whole grilled lemon sole, char-grilled chicken breast with spiced lentil salsa or Lincolnshire duck breast with whisky, soy and honey sauce. To close, check out the dessert trolley or the cheeseboard.
