Review on Salieri Restaurant
Anyone who has seen Amadeus may recall that Salieri was the composer who got the blame for poisoning Mozart. No such dodgy goings-on in this flamboyant Covent Garden venue, which is theatrically bedecked with mirrors, photographs and puppets.
Theatregoers are well served by special deals before and after the show, and the kitchen pleases the punters with a blend of old-school Continental favourites and smattering of more up-to-date dishes. At lunchtime you can eat fish 'n' chips as well as spaghetti with Swedish meatballs, while the evening menu moves up a notch for layered chicken and foie gras parfait and poached wild Scottish salmon with Champagne and caviar sauce, followed by homemade tiramisù.
